O tempo é algo precioso.É uma parte muito importante da nossa vida. Tempo para estudar, tempo para divertir-se, tempo para estar com os amigos. Ajustamos despertadores e celulares para não perder o “tempo”.
Temos calendários para nos lembrar que dia ou mês estamos. Estamos sempre pensando no tempo e em como podemos aproveitar o máximo. E em outros idiomas sempre aparecem expressões relacionadas a tempo, ou time em inglês.
Pensando nisso, elaboramos este post com expressões em inglês que usam a palavra time. Aqui estão 10 delas e o seu significado.

Time flies
Meaning: If you say that time flies, you mean that it seems to pass very quickly.
Example: “Time flies when you’re having fun!”
To kill time
Meaning: to do something to pass the time
Example: “We had a long layover, so we watched a movie to kill time.”
A waste of time
Meaning: not a useful way to spend your time
Example: “Why are you always on Facebook? It’s such a waste of time!”
Time is money
Meaning: time is valuable
Example: “I can’t sit around waiting for him all day. Time is money, you know?!”
No time to lose
Meaning: you must hurry to do something as fast as you can
Example: “We have to get ready for the surprise party! She’s going to be here soon. There’s no time to lose!”
Save time
Meaning: We save time when we do something the quick way.
Example: ‘We will save time if we drive instead of taking the bus.’
On time
Meaning: to be on time means not to be late. You arrive at the right time.
Example: ‘The trains always run on time in my country. They are never late.’
As time goes by
Meaning: As time goes by means as time passes or moves. The passing of time.
Example: ‘As time has gone by I have become less interested in going to nightclubs on the weekends.’
Out of time
Meaning: Out of time means that there is no more time left to do something. The time limit or deadline has been reached.
Example: ‘Please stop writing. You are out of time. The exam has finished.’
Time for a change
Meaning: Time for a change means to stop what you are doing and start doing something else with your life.
Example: ‘After working in the same job for 5 years, I now feel like it is time for a change.’
